Don has been creating and selling artwork since 1971. The primary focus of his artwork over the years has been wildlife, and since 1982 he has been making his living with wildlife artwork. A continual flow of a variety of products ranging from handcarved miniature flying ducks to wildlife inspired salt and pepper shakers have led him to his current career in decoy production.
Don has always immersed himself in outdoor activities, with a special focus on waterfowling. For several years, he worked as a taxidermist, and uses that knowledge gained through the experience to incorporate anatomical accuracy into Body Language Decoys. His artistic creativity and anatomic precision is seen in many of his uniquely posed decoys.
